 The Skiatook Police Department has been an integral part of the city’s history, evolving alongside the community it serves. In 1965, the department was led by Chief Pete Eaton, with officers Otis Guilfoyle and Glenn Nelson serving under his command. By 1966, the team had expanded to include Dispatcher Jerry Swagerty and Officers Walter Spurgeon, “Cadie” Jones, and John Pippin.
