Skiatook Animal Control

Skiatook Animal Control, operating under the City of Skiatook Police Department, is dedicated to providing effective and cost-efficient animal control services to the community. 

Their mission encompasses the active enforcement of state and local laws, humane sheltering and disposal of stray and unwanted animals, and the promotion of responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.

Animal Control Officer Emily Smith is responsible for enforcing city ordinances related to the control, leashing, tagging, and apprehension of animals, fowl, and reptiles.  

In addition to municipal services, Skiatook is home to Skiatook Paws and Claws Animal Rescue, a foster-based organization that collaborates with the city to rehome animals. They offer adoption and foster opportunities and host regular events to promote animal welfare.
